INSIGHT
For a topic that is very much on everyone’s minds lately, it’s both surprising and inspiring to discover Kaiser Permanente’s long-standing commitment to diversity and inclusion. This invitation-only event brings together Kaiser employees (doctors, nurses, HR professionals, and administrators) from across the nation to celebrate, engage, and learn about issues such as equal care, equity in pay, unconscious bias and more.
The fact that the company launched an annual, national event to focus on these issues in the workplace 40 years ago speaks volumes to Kaiser’s innovative and progressive leadership. We wanted to bring this unique story to life in a powerful, meaningful way. Our insight was to use personal experiences with diversity, equity and inclusion as a storytelling vehicle throughout the conference.
IDEA
Working hand-in-hand with Kaiser, we developed a unifying attendee experience designed to celebrate this milestone in the company’s history.
Event Theme Identity
The conference theme, #Become, was based on the idea that everyone is on a journey of awareness of the dynamics of diversity and inclusion – and that unconscious bias continues to pervade society. Our theme graphic conveys a diverse set of elements that are connected to create something larger than the individual – the goal of diversity and inclusion for all.
General Session
General session production staging reinforced the graphic theme, and provided a simple, yet elegant environment for supporting keynotes, panel discussions and live performances.
